In this book, Sekoto tells the story of his life from herding cattle in Botshabelo in the Transvaal to living in self-exile in Paris in France. He tells how he became interested in art as a young boy and explains how his work progressed and developed. This book is illustrated with Sekoto’s paintings in colour, and sketches in black and white, some of which are published for the first time. The art historian Barbara Lindop introduces his works to the reader with informative commentaries.
