Zwelihle Hermanus Whale Festival

Once again SCW collaborated with the Viva Foundation based in South Africa. This included a weekend of mural painting during the Whale Festival in Hermanus. The mural painting is an ongoing project with this being our fourth festival in the Overberg area. The vision is to create a Living Art Gallery in Zwelihle Township outside Hermanus, and to turn the street into an economically viable tourist attraction. A similar exercise is being conducted in the Stanford community, where considerable mural painting has already taken place.
