David Krut Projects | Montebello Design Centre | 19 April 2016 | 7pm

uHlanga and David Krut Projects invite you to an evening of poetry and art, as Genna Gardini and Nick Mulgrew give their first readings of 2016 in the leafy surrounds of Montebello Design Centre in Newlands.

Both poets will be reading old and new material, and their respective collections will be on sale from David Krut Project’s fantastic bookstore on site.

Join us for wine and words. Entrance is free.

Genna Gardini (b. 1987) is the author of ‘Matric Rage’, published last year by uHlanga to rave reviews. City Press called the book “heartbreaking and discomfiting [… It] will haunt you”. Gardini is the winner of numerous accolades, including the DALRO/New Coin Prize, and is currently a lecturer and critic, living in Cape Town.

Nick Mulgrew (b. 1990) is the author of ‘the myth of this is that we’re all in this together’, and uHlanga’s publisher. His “quirky and playful” poems (according, again, to City Press) have been published throughout South Africa and the U.K. He is also the author of ‘Stations’, a collection of short fiction, published by David Philip in March.
